26 years close to the problem.

Meaning Memory is built by Clinton Stark, founder of Molty Creek LLC. The thesis comes from a long pattern of running, observing, and writing about information systems that struggle to remember what mattered.

Cisco, 1999. Smithsonian-recognized.

In 1999, as project manager, Clinton led the deployment of Cisco's enterprise content management system. The Smithsonian Institution later recognized the project for innovation. The build surfaced a pattern that has recurred in every system Clinton operated since: storage scales easily; governance of what matters does not.

The throughline.

Twenty-six years of running, observing, and writing about systems that have to remember what mattered. Leading the Cisco CMS deployment in 1999. Founding and operating Stark Insider as a self-hosted publication on tech and the arts since 2005. Running the infrastructure, writing the scripts, watching every generation of system trip on the same governance gap: CMS, then search, then caching, then vector databases, and now agent context windows.
